Air Dry Without Giving Up Floor Space
Floor-standing drying racks take up usable room while laundry dries. A ceiling-mounted airer uses the space above instead. Lower it when you need to hang laundry, then raise it when you're finished.

The Square-Rod ceiling clothes airer can be installed with different ceiling types and finishes, provided the suspension points are securely fixed to a suitable load-bearing structure.
Decorative ceiling panels, plasterboard or glass surfaces alone must not be used as structural fixing points.

What is the difference between the Square-Rod and Multi-Rod ceiling airers?
The two models use a similar manual lifting system and share the same general installation requirements. The main difference is the drying layout. The Square-Rod model uses square-profile main rods with more dedicated hanger holes, making it particularly suitable for households that frequently dry clothes on hangers.
Which Square-Rod length should I choose?
Choose the length based on your available ceiling space and the number of hanging positions you need.
- 1.5 m: 30 hanger holes and 7 crossbars
- 2.0 m: 46 hanger holes and 11 crossbars
- 2.4 m: 58 hanger holes and 14 crossbars
The longer versions provide more hanger positions and additional drying length.
How much space do I need to install the Square-Rod airer?
We recommend approximately 95 cm or more of clear width for the installation area. The two main rods are spaced approximately 49 cm apart.
You should also allow approximately 30 cm or more of wall space for the manual winch.
How far can the Square-Rod airer be lowered?
The airer can be lowered by up to approximately 1.8 m, allowing you to bring the drying frame down to a more convenient working height before raising it again.
What ceiling height is suitable for the standard setup?
The standard setup is designed for ceilings up to approximately 3 m high.
For ceilings higher than 3 m, a longer wire rope may be required depending on the installation height and desired lowest position.
Can it be installed on plasterboard or a suspended ceiling?
Yes, but the airer must be fixed to a suitable load-bearing structure above or behind the decorative ceiling surface.
Plasterboard, ceiling panels or other decorative materials alone should not be used as the structural fixing point.
Does the whole airer move up and down together?
Yes. Turning the wall-mounted crank raises or lowers the complete drying frame together.
The individual rods cannot be raised or lowered separately.
Does the Square-Rod ceiling airer require electricity?
No. The Square-Rod is operated manually using the wall-mounted winch and crank handle, so no electrical connection is required.
What types of laundry are suitable for air drying on the Square-Rod?
The airer can be used for clothes and household laundry whose care instructions allow line, hanger or air drying. Use the hanger holes, crossbars and lower rods according to the item and its care label.
